"Mom, is it the Fathers and Sons day yet?"
I've heard this question every morning at about 6:00 this past week. To say my boys were a little excited about the weekends events would be an absurd understatement. They have been ecstatically awaiting Friday night when they with dad would load up the car, and together live in the wild for a night.
Friday did finally come. As the boys were getting ready to go, Will told me not to worry to much; that they would be back in one day, and then handed me a dandelion (a moms favorite flower) and told me that this was so I would remember him while he was gone. It worked, I didn't forget about him.
So now my boy scouts are home. Judging by the strong smoke smell, dirt caked on faces, and tired eyes, I'm pretty sure they had fun. Here are some pictures to remember the event.
Will told me that they played "tug- a -rope" and he pulled real hard and then they won a couple. What a strong boy.
