How does this happen really? Kids who used to be sweet angelic babies themselves now became savages who delight in entropy. I promise I hadn't neglected them for more than a minute when this happened. I was just cleaning the morning dishes getting ready to meet the principal at Will's new school. We had an appointment to meet and I was practicing my mother speech, the one in which I pleaded for morning kindergarten and sang Will praises. He is such a good, well behaved child. He loves to learn and listen and he looks out for the underdog kid....etc. In the middle of it, my mother called so I gave the speech to her. The boys were supposed to be in their room getting their clothes on so we could go. They emerged to talk to Mawga and this is how they came out. Do you see clothes? No, and bytheway, even if it says washable, black and red marker don't come out quite so easily. I eventually took two young tigger children with five o'clock shadows with me to meet the principal. Seriously, I wonder what she thought of the new family. Hmm. When we got home and the horror of it had passed, I had to laugh a little at the situation. As the new mom in town, I really want my children to be perfect and I want to make such a stellar, impressive first impression. I think we missed the mark this time. Oh well.

loving that! Why is it that when you need to go somewhere "important" or "quickly" the kids do stuff like... paint themselves?! I'm just glad you had the camera handy to snap a picture!! Hope its all going well there!
Glad you can laugh about this, Anne, even if it is after the fact! It was so good to see you this past Sunday but now we miss you! Good luck with the school situation.
I am so sorry, I can't imagine the how you must have felt when you first saw them. And to go meet the principal!!! Oh my. I have to say that it is hilarious though. I can not even comprehend what goes through their minds sometimes!!
