At our place, there is a Dad, a Mom, and two Cowboys. Yes, here at the Anderson Ranch, life is better if you are wearing cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and roping something (even if that something happens to be your younger brother). The couch arms double nicely as horses and one would be amazed at the number of stray cattle we have roaming the living room at night. So two Friday's ago we rounded up our clan and took them to the wild K-State Collegiate Rodeo. Yeehaw! We were lucky enough to even get front row seats. Once the bull riding began, we asked ourselves, is this an appropriate activity for toddlers? Dad thought it was especially unsportsmanlike to hog tie a pygmy goat tethered to a stake in the middle of the arena, but hey, he's just a stats guy, what does he know...At any rate no one went to the hospital, the animals were safe, the cowboys kept their hats on and we had two very inspired cowboys to put to bed that night.
