First Day of School

Will at 6 months. Isn't he deliciously cute? Gotta love fat baby feet.

Will 5 years later. Sitting at his kindergarten table/desk.

Still so cute
(Big thanks to Sarah, for the camera use, ours decided to break two day's before. Great timing.)

It really happened. My baby started Kindergarten!

He was so excited, handsome and ready. His mom on the other hand was a bit of a wreak. The day before school started (the day he met his teacher) we thought it would be fun to have an early morning breakfast with some friends to try to get in the gear for waking up and getting out the door on time. We had a front yard full of cute kids, p.j.s and cereal. Later that day we got to find out who Will's teacher was and see his class! Even with all the prep and a whole summer to prepare, I wasn't quite ready for this day to come. And if you care, I still think it's Highway robbery that school started on the 19th of August, what ever happened to starting after Labor Day. Come on people!

I cried the whole walk home from school, then Ike and I had a good cry later that morning. I'll probably start crying about it now, If I think to much about it. How did Will get to be 5 so fast? I turned around and blink we are buying glue sticks, crayons and tissue. It has been a little different around our house, but also kind of nice to spend more time with Ike.

Anyway, Will sure looked cute. And his favorite thing so far.....recess. That's my boy.

Yeah - wasn't it just yesterday that we were both expecting our first babies in October? For one thing, we're too young to have kids in K. . . .
He did look so handsome. Hopefully Ike isn't too lost (or Mom)!

So cute! He is a mini-mike. I'm sure before long, it'll be the new "normal." :)

Wow! Congrats! That first day of school with the first child is brutal! I happened to put James on a bus to speech preschool on the same day and the same time that I had to take McKay to Kindergarten. I cried all the way to the school and all the way home! Will looked so handsome! We loved hanging out with you guys! Thanks for making the trip!

Ann, you made me get all teary. Your little guy grew up so fast, I am so glad to hear when other moms have a hard time with the whole growing up thing. One thing is for sure he is a handsome kindergartener! Good luck with all. - Caroline

Yeah, it's really kind of sad. I mean, I know it has to happen, but still...why so soon? I heard that you guys are moving...where to? I take it Mike found a job, that really is so exciting. When do you move? Are you all ready? Nervous? Excited? I hope you don't mind I added your link to our blog because I really would like to keep in touch. I love that blogs provide such a convenient way to 'look in' on people's lives. If we don't see you before you leave...good luck with the move. Moving with three little ones--not fun.
